DiveLogDT App Reviews

10 Customer Reviews:

Easily downloaded all dive logs and super-easy interface to set up multiple users/multiple computers. This will be forward compatible to a new computer for me later as well. Happy to have spent money on a quality piece of software.

This App was confusing and so I played around with it. I thought I had it all figured out, but then after putting information into a tab, I would go to the next tab and do the same. Afterwards, I would go back to the previous tab and everything I had put in was erased!

Lots of problems with it! Like the other review, every time I entered data in a tab and went back to the summary it would miss calculate the data drastically. Also data would get garbled when importing from UDCF format and miss read. Also imports from Diving Log’s PC version were not correct. Overall I wish I wouldnt have paid 20 bucks for this app!

Ok, so the interface still needs some help, but I finally have an app that can download my Uwatec computers natively in OSX. For too long I was using VMWare Fusion and Windoze software to download my computers, with this app, all that is not needed. I have a MOSCHIP MCS7780 IrDA device and it works fine with this app and with Mountain Lion. I love the fact that I can sync it with my iPad and iPhone, in fact I have been using the iOS version of this app for a while now. It has been a great way to have my logbook with me all the time and store my c-cards as well. I cant give five stars at this time because there are some things that could be better. I would love a little more flexibility in printing and layouts. There are some clunky things when editing log entries, but over all, the fact that I can use this will all of my computers makes me really happy.

I have used this app for the last year. It works great as the title states. Syncs with my Atomic Cobalt, and with my iPhone 5. Now i always have my dive log with me. Highly recommend.

This App does exactly what its supposed to do. I was shopping for an app that would allow me to download my Uwatec dive computer to a mac, My Galileo Luna dive computer requires an IrDA “infrared reader" to Download, I ran into some issues using the app with my IrDA and contacted support, she emailed back and forth with me 5-6 times until the problem was resolved. The problem was with my mac and the IrDA not her software but she still helped me! I have never in my 34 years had such knowledgeable and great support! To my knowledge this is the only real solution for downloading a uwatec computer onto a mac and I’m very happy with the apps functionality.

I tried a few other free apps and programs, including Suunto’s own software. They all sucked. This one rocks! Integration was fast and easy from both dive computers that my daughter and I have (Zoop and D4i). I love the fact that I can use the iOS app or the desktop to get pretty much the same edit/entry capability. I was even able to import dive log from one of those other applications (one of the ones that you have to have a degree in UNIX to actually get data off the Zoop). Loving this app! Interface is clean and easy - printing is intuitive and has readable, appealing layout. Would love to see the following improvements: Remembered inputs on more fields (like you do for Site, Trip, etc.). Hover over information on the graph Option to copy Environment & Equipment data from another dive (since the weather, my equipment, diving partner, etc is likely the same on a dive an hour later) Faster (one-click) integration to iOS device once it’s paired How about an online catalog of equipment that you can search to fill in the details (yeah, I know that’s a reach)

This is simply an excellent app. Pretty easy to install, it did take a couple trys to identify the old dive files for transfer but they came over perfectly. The layouts make sense and are easy to read. The program pretty much gives you everything that you would want in a dive log with markedly better editing feaures than most I’ve used. I also really like the way it mirrors the iPhone/ipad apps, I also have to say that the support is top notch. I actually reached out reference another product and they were fantastic. The only real frustration is that it is somewhat tempermental in downloading from my Smartcom and the downloading does take longer than it should. But this is an easy 5 star rating. Highly recommend this program if you are going to use a dive log app. In follow up to my earlier review, its still a fantastic program. I have now been able to experiment with a few dive computers: UWATEC Smartcom, Oceanic Pro Plus 3 and the Oceanic Datamask. The smart com was a breeze which is nice since its such an old computer. More recently, I tried the Pro Plus 3 and had some problems because the dive shop sold me the old cable. Once I got a new cable it worked like a charm. The same cable also worked with my Data Mask which was difficult to connect cable to mask but once physically connected downloaded very quickly. I must say I was disappointed in Oceanic as I never did get a reply to my email. I reached them by phone when I went to another dive shop who directly called their rep. He did figure it out pretty quickly and this dive shop had the correct cable.

I have been using this program for years across my Macbook pro and iPhone with a scubapro Luna. It downloads dives in a flash and is simple to update and track my dives. I gave up keeping a paper log book. Recently i had an issue that i attributed to an update. I did contact support on a Sunday and by the end of the day the issue was resolved. Did i say that it was a Sunday!!! I received almost instant responses. A few emails later the problem was resolved and it was not due to an update, it was on my end. Thank you for your support and an excellent program. Keep it up.

I have been searching for just the right dive log…. required features: 1. Support both of my computer (Uwatec Galileo and Liquivision LYNX) 2. Mac based 3. Have iphone app 4. Be able to print log pages 5. Good level of detail / de-duplication of entry This does it all!! It’s the only program I found that supports both of the above computers (at least Mac based) - and it works great. I am extremely happy with this purchase. BTW - Uwatec has had a big problem because Windows 10 removed IRDA drivers, so you can’t download from Windows. So being able to natively download the Uwatec on the mac is a huge benefit.

Difficult Initial Adoption

The app has some odd user experiences and feels like a developer preview of a proof of concept. The import process is complicated without a clear workflow and the various panels where data may be shown often seems disconnected and with an overly complicated view.

Great app and awesome support

I have had this app for 2 years and have really liked it. I wanted to add all my dives from Scubapro Smart Trak but could find no way to do it. I emailed Greg and he converted my log from Smart Trak to a log I could import into DiveLogDT. He offered to combine all my old and newer dives but instructed me on how to do it myself. Success. I combined all 512 older dives with 74 newer dives into DiveLogDT and synced to my iphone. Now all dives are in one fantastic dive log app. Thank you!

Great software, even greater developers

I have been using the paid version on macOS and iOS devices. It is full of features, covers anything one can imagine - and even more. Syncing engine for dive computers works even better than Suunto's original software. Most importantly: the owners have not stopped investing and developing the software all these years, and hear what their users have to say to make improvements. I would gladly pay even more for such a great combination.

Awesome Software

This software was the answer I was looking for! The ScubaPro support software is very limited on the Mac and has zero integration between devices. This allows me to keep track of my dives in detail while also getting rid of my traditional log book. In addition, their customer support is fantastic! Thank you!

Update fixed Pelagic crashed, so returning to 4 stars. I wish there was more statistics, but otherwose very good log system.

Best app for UWATEC Galileo sync

To the best of my knowledge, this app is the only one for Mac to sync Galileo DCs via IRD. Work seampless with USB 7780 dongle. Unlike other apps, it is also compatible with Os 10.9+ Owner is very supportive with technical assistance and general guidance. Thanks for nice app!

Outstanding Dive Log Program

I’ve been using this app since 2012. When I first started, had to use the Diving Log program on my PC. Updated to a Mac laptop, and am now using the app on my phone, as well as the program on my Mac Laptop. Absolutely love this program. Keeps track of so much information, and grabs data from my ScubaPro computers so easily. Being a complete dive nerd, this program gives me so much information on my dives, that even I can’t run out of uses for it in terms of slicing data on my dives, keeping track of all my gear and certs. Just awesome. Makes logging my Dives fun! Thanks for a great program!
